Decay of proton into Planck neutrino in the theory of gravity

چکیده
It is considered gravitational interaction within the framework of the Newton theory and the quantum field theory. It is introduced the Planck neutrino νP l. Gravitational interaction of the fields ψψ includes short-range interaction ψνP l and long-range interaction νP lνP l. Gravitational radiation can be identified with the Planck neutrino. The theory predicts the decay of proton into Planck neutrino. It is assumed that the Planck mass built from three fundamental constants h̄, c and G is fixed in all the inertial frames. This leads to that the lifetime of proton relative to the decay into Planck neutrino decreases with the Lorentz factor as ∼ γ. Such a dependence of the lifetime of proton on the Lorentz factor yields a cut-off in the EHECRs spectrum. It is shown that the first ”knee” in the EHECRs spectrum E ∼ 3 × 10 eV corresponds to the lifetime of proton equal to the lifetime of the universe, the second ”knee” E ∼ 10 − 10 eV corresponds to the lifetime of proton equal to the thickness of our galactic disc. The EHECRs with the energies E > 3 × 10 eV can be identified with the Planck neutrinos.

The extra high energy cosmic rays spectrum in view of the decay of proton into Planck neutrinos
It is assumed that proton decays into Planck neutrinos. The energy of the Planck neutrino is equal to the Planck mass in the preferred rest frame. In the frame moving relative to the preferred rest frame the energy of the Planck neutrino reduces by the corresponding Lorentz factor. The lifetime of proton depends on the kinetic energy of proton relative to the preferred rest frame. The time requ...
متن کاملCollider versus Cosmic Ray Sensitivity to Black Hole Production
In scenarios with extra dimensions and TeV-scale quantum gravity, black holes are expected to be produced copiously at center-of-mass energies above the fundamental Planck scale. The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) may thus turn into a factory of black holes, at which their production and evaporation may be studied in detail. But even before the LHC starts operating, the Pierre Auger Observatory fo...

We consider proton decay in theories that contain large extra dimensions. If virtual black hole states are allowed by the theory, as is generally the case, then proton decay can proceed via virtual black holes. The experimental limits on the proton lifetime place strong constraints on the quantum gravity scale Mqg (the effective Planck mass). For most theories, this implies a lower bound of Mqg...

متن کاملCharged Higgs in Models with Singlet Neutrino in Large Extra Dimensions
Models with extra dimensions postulate the existence of δ additional spatial dimensions of size R where gravity and perhaps other fields freely propagate while the SM degrees of freedom are confined to (3+1)-dimensional wall (4D) of the higher dimensional space. The true scale of gravity, or fundamental Planck scale M∗, of the (4 + δ)D space time is related to the reduced 4D Planck scale MP l, ...
